June 2012 : Vampire Wedding


We had so much fun at the Vampire Ball, that we are bringing you with us on another journey! This time we made items for our own vampire wedding! Many of us shared cakes, invitations, dresses, dates, and exotic locations.. and the crafts were gorgeous too.

jrf1977 made a beautiful blanket to celebrate her wedded bliss..

CherrySprinkle made a beautiful daffodil and daisy wedding bouquet from scrap yarn!

The Dungeon : Spinning Support Group


We have an a bunch of very talented spinners in our group! There has been lots of talk about ratios, how to count wraps per inch, how to spin fine, and lacing the flyer. We have an abundance of Kromski wheel owners and pics of these have been shared. The very first post in the group thread has many helpful links and a video that our spinners have found helpful.

This post is likely to be very picture intense.. please bare with me!

CherrySprinkle shared some photos of her handspuns, projects she made from her handspun, and her wheels - a Kromski Symphony, a Kromski Sonata, and an antique 1880-1890 CPW (Canadian Production Wheel).












lisakbye shared some gorgeous handspun and a shot of a gorgeous handmade spinning wheel someone brought to a spin-in! It had real flowers inlays! lisakbye owns a Kromski Sonata.






Tangeldav is a relatively new spinner but is fitting right in, in our dungeon! Tangeldav owns a Kromski Minstrel and has shared photos of her handspun and her wheel.










GirlOnTheFly shared with us a batt she made, yarn she spun from it, and a finished scarf. She owns a Kromski Symphony.




intallcotton is also a new spinner and is currently using a spindle to make her pretties. This is her first handspun.


referencegoddess shared her beautiful handspun yarn which she then dyed. She's also new and is spindle spinning.

April 2012 : Bunnicula

The month of April we paid tribute to the bunny. We were to craft a bunny, food, work with angora, or make something for children and/or inspired by children's books. We had a short turn-out this month as everyone was celebrating the holiday with their families and cooking and baking took on a major part of our lives.. but never the less, here's a recap of the month of April.

CherrySprinkle kicked us off with a cute cross-stitch that has left everyone craving carrot cake.



intallcotton made a stunning lacy cowl inspired by Alice in Wonderland.


phantasmagoria shared her adorable little felted rabid bunny!

March 2012 : Luck o' the Irish


Inspired by all the exotic locations our patrons are being sent on their luxury get-aways we are inviting you to spend a month with us in Ireland! This month we will focus on the St Patrick’s Day, Ireland, and all the boozing up you can stand. We crafted something to represent luck, shamrocks, the color green, celtic knots, and bar wares. We were quite busy during the month of March and the crafts were pretty amazing!

Tangeldav made a shawl to keep warm while staying in the castle!


peanutzmom shared a beautiful lucky green fascinator!

CherrySprinkle made an adorable little cross stitch shamrock cake pop for the month of March.


jannajax prepared for her time at the pubs with a shamrock coaster!
